Next to the Golden Rose Apartments there is a traditional tavern-ouzeri serving fresh fish and seafood in the shade of plane trees. On the seaside there is an organized beach and a beach-bar where you can enjoy your swim while drinking coffee without having to pay for your sunbed or the umbrella. Along the Sotiritsa-Agiocampos beach you can find taverns where you can taste plentiful fish of the area. To try the traditional recipes you can visit the villages of Kissavos and Mavrovouni, especially the old village of Sotiritsa, Skiti and Sklithro. You can also visit thepicturesque village of Kokkino Nero.
For your entertainment there are plenty of beach bars along the seaside which are open day and night. During the summer there are fairs organized mainly in August by the municipality of the area. There are some events such as summer cinema, theatrical productions and concerts organized at Platania and at the Thalassa Theater.
